Vijay Krishna Acharya has directed the family drama, which is set for a theatrical release.
The Great Indian Family starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar, will be the next film from Yash Raj Films. This year, on September 22, viewers will be able to watch the Vijay Krishna Acharya-directed movie on a big screen.
Vicky is riding high on the success of his previous film, the family film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The Great Indian Family takes place in rural India and centres on the chaos that breaks out among the actor's family as a result of unforeseen events.

Today, Vicky announced the film's upcoming release date with a funny trailer that gives viewers a glimpse inside his zany family.
The supporting actors in The Great Indian Family include Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal, and Bharti Perwani.
Back in 2021, Vicky and Manushi were quietly shooting for the film. The duo even headed to Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, for a short shooting schedule.
As it was COVID-19 times, a source had earlier said, "Vicky and Manushi are leaving town today and are heading to Maheshwar. The portions will include their romantic scenes, along with a few important sequences, and the unique backdrop of Maheshwar will make it look beautiful and stunning."
The source also shared, "Since the team is doing an outdoor shoot, maintaining a bio-bubble is key. So, for those wanting to do sight-seeing, etc. they will have to wait for the schedule to be wrapped."

This is the first time Vicky and Manushi will be seen romancing each other onscreen. The film marks the Uri actor's first film with Yash Raj Films, whereas the former Miss World made her acting debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Samrat Prithviraj produced by Aditya Chopra's home banner.
The Great Indian Family will be the second YRF film of 2023, after Pathaan and before Tiger 3's release this Diwali.
