The Greatest Of All Time trailer, the highly anticipated glimpse of Thalapathy Vijay and Venkat Prabhu’s film, is not getting an Independence Day release, as planned before.

The Greatest Of All Time aka The GOAT, the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay starrer directed by Venkat Prabhu, is gearing up to release on September 5, 2024. The movie, which is touted to be a sci-fi action thriller, stars the Tamil superstar in a double role, as a 50-year-old man and a 19-year-old boy. Earlier, The Greatest Of All Time trailer was expected to be revealed today (August 15, 2024), on the special occasion of Independence Day. However, The GOAT trailer release is now postponed, due to technical reasons.

The Greatest Of All Time trailer gets a new release date

The Greatest Of All Time team, including leading man Thalapathy Vijay, director Venkat Prabhu, and the team took to their official social media handles and announced the new release date of the trailer. “GET. SET. GOat... Buckle up... #TheGoatTrailer is landing on your screens on August 17th, 5 PM... @actorvijay Sir... A @vp_offl Hero... A @thisisysr Magical,” wrote the hitmaker, who also dropped a brand-new poster of The GOAT on his official social media handles.

The new update came out as a major disappointment for the Thalapathy Vijay fans and the cinephiles, who have been waiting for the big reveal for a long time. If the reports are to be believed, The Greatest Of All Time decided to drop the trailer on Saturday, August 17, 2024, due to the delay in its post-production works. The GOAT trailer is expected to drop some major updates on the Venka Prabhu directorial’s premise, its protagonist, and the supporting characters, unlike the first glimpse video which just unveiled Vijay’s double role.

As reported earlier, The Greatest Of All Time marks Thalapathy Vijay’s first collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu. The movie reportedly stars the actor in the role of a RAW anti-terrorist squad officer, and his lookalike. Sneha is appearing in the role of Vijay’s wife in the film, which stars Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the younger character’s lady love. Senior actor Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, Ajmal Ameer, Laila, Premgi Amaran, VTV Ganesh, and others essay the pivotal roles in the film.
