The GOAT trailer out: Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film features Sneha, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, and others. The storyline revolves around an anti-terrorist squad and promises thrilling sequences.

The much-awaited trailer of The GOAT- The Greatest of All Time has been finally released by the makers on social media on Saturday. The Vijay-starrer film is all set to hit big screens on September 5.

Vijay, who was last seen in Leo, is teaming up with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu for a film titled The GOAT. The makers on Saturday, released the trailer of the film. The GOAT will release on September 5.

The nearly-three- minute trailer begins with some fight shots, as we are geared up for the introduction of Vijay. Prashanth introduces a new assignment which will be headed by a new leader who has completed 68 tasks, a spy, hostage negotiator, and field agent who is hailed as GOAT of SATS. We are shown Vijay in multiple stunt sequences, and cut short, we see Sneha as his wife. Vijay's name is revealed to be Gandhi who is seen enjoying getting drunk. Venkat Prabhu also makes Vijay say a famous dialogue from Ajith's Mankatha. Just as we see his family spending at Bangkok, we also see a de-aged Vijay as son. The trailer has several moments of action and drama. We are hinted that a bomb is being implanted somewhere in Chennai. At the end, we see Vijay recreating a famous scene from Ghilli, by singing Marudamalai song.

The GOAT features Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Yogi Babu, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Mohan, Premgi, and others. The GOAT’s technical crew consists of Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music, and cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni cranking the camera. Venkat Raajen is the editor. Dilip Subbarayan has handled the stunts and Rajeevan is the production designer. The GOAT’s post theatrical rights are bagged by Netflix. It is bankrolled by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment banner.

All eyes are set on the film, since it marks the first release of actor Vijay after he announced his entry into politics. Vijay had stated that after The GOAT, he will act in another film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, before retiring from cinema.

A fictional story, Venkat Prabhu had saud that they have tried to make it close to reality and that it revolves around an anti-terrorist squad called SATS, which works in conjunction with the RAW agency. The GOAT is about how former members of SATS, known for their excellence, will come back to tackle a challenge.
