The GOAT censor and runtime revealed: The film is scheduled to release on September 5 in theaters and has already grabbed post-theatrical rights by Netflix.
Only a few weeks are left for the release of Vijay-starrer film The GOAT- Greatest of All Time. Ahead of release, the makers have announced that it has completed the censor formalities of the film. It has received a U/A certificate. Further, it is speculated that The GOAT will have a runtime of nearly three hours.
The GOAT is one of the most anticipated Tamil films this year. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and marks Vijay’s 68thouting. Scheduled to release in theatres on September 5, The GOAT has completed the censor formalities.
With just a few weeks for release, the film has received U/A certificate, qualifying the film to be seen by all age groups, with parental supervision. It is also rumoured that The GOAT will be a long film, with a run time of two hours and 55 minutes. There will also a three-minute long making video attached.

The makers of The GOAT recently released the trailer of the film which earned positive word of mouth among the audience. In the film, Vijay will be featured in de-aged looks to make him look younger. The actor will be playing both the father and son.
Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, Premgi, Vaibhav, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and others. An AI version of late actor and politician Vijayakanth is expected to appear. The GOAT revolves around an anti-terrorist squad SATS in which Vijay is a former member. A mission requires a set of former members to reunite.
Produced by AGS Entertainment, The GOAT has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film. Siddhartha Nuni has cranked the camera. Venkat Raajen is the editor of the film. Venkat Prabhu has penned the dialogues along with Viji.
