It narrates the story of Elisa, a lonely janitor at a 1960s top-secret research facility, who forms a relationship with a mysterious amphibious creature. Based on the comic book by James O'Barr, The Crow is a 1994 action dark fantasy film directed by Alex Proyas. It revolves around a man named Eric Draven, who comes back from the dead to seek vengeance against those who murdered his fiancé and himself. The film has attained cult status over the years, partly because of the tragic death of lead star Brandon Lee, son of Kung-fu legend Bruce Lee, after a gun was accidentally fired at him during the latter stages of The Crow’s filming.

Filmmaker Robert Eggers has carved a reputation as one of the leading filmmakers revolutionising the horror genre. His debut feature film as director is the 2015 dark fantasy horror, The Witch. The film also featured the debut of Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays the lead role. Set in 17th century New England, the narrative revolves around an outcast Puritan family who encounter evil forces in the forest near their farm. The film received praise for its compelling narrative and stunning visuals.
Underworld - (Google Play, Apple TV)
Directed by Len Wiseman, Underworld is a 2003 horror fantasy film starring Kate Beckinsale. It tells the story of the war between vampires and werewolves in modern-day America, as a vampire named Selene is tasked with protecting a human doctor from the werewolves. Scott Speedman, Michael Sheen, and Bill Nighy among others play pivotal roles in the film.
