Garfield and Odie embark on a high-stakes heist in the new movie, available to rent on Prime Video and more.
OTT in India now offers The Garfield Movie a release from earlier this year. The animated adventure comedy feature is available to rent on Prime Video, ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium), and BookMyShow Stream for Rs. 249. Jim Davis' comic strip Garfield serves as the basis for The Garfield Movie. The film features a voice cast including Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Ving Rhames, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Snoop Dogg, among others. Mark Dindal directed it, while Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds wrote the script.
In the film, Vic, Garfield's long-lost father coerces a street cat named Vic into joining him on a perilous expedition. Chris Pratt's iconic indoor cat, Garfield, is preparing for an exciting outdoor adventure! An unexpected appearance from their long-lost father, the unkempt street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson), drags Garfield and his doggie pal Odie out of their luxurious existence and into a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

The Garfield Movie made nearly $244 million, despite reviewers' largely poor assessments.
Meanwhile, Jim Davis, the guy behind Garfield, was pleased with Pratt's casting as the character because, in Davis's view, Pratt brought out more than just the deadpan humour in his portrayal of Garfield.
Pratt was also director Mark Dindal's initial pick to play Garfield because, according to Dindal, he had imagined Pratt's voice voicing the character for a long time. The animators mixed Dindal's voice with clips of Garfield's dialogue to evaluate if it portrayed Garfield's snark and sloth, which Dindal thought it did.
Even if The Garfield Movie doesn't introduce any new plot points, the moment after the credits roll practically guarantees that there will be a sequel. After the credits rolled, a comic strip showed up, and Garfield playfully asked if anyone was hoping for a sequel. It appears like Colombia already has something planned, but the success of the first film will determine if this comes to fruition. The second Garfield film will definitely be a reality if everything works out.
