The Freelancer is an upcoming patriotic action-thriller drama starring Mohit Raina and Anupam Kher, who have also helmed the series together. Created by Neeraj Pandey, the show is directed by Bhav Dhulia. Packed with great talents such as Sushant Singh and Kashmira Pardeshi, the forthcoming venture is set to be out on Disney+ Hotstar soon.
Makers announced the show on Monday, August 7 and gathered a great response from the cinephiles. The announcement video sees how the makers along with Raina and Kher come together to build multiple sets and choreograph many stunt sequences and shoot the live-action drama.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, August 9, the creators dropped the official trailer that unveils the story of the show. The Freelancer revolves around a man that goes on an extraction mission to save an Indian girl, who gets stuck in war-torn Syria.

Makers dropped the trailer with an interesting and special caption that reads, "When life hangs by a thread, a daring rescue mission becomes a battle against destiny. #HotstarSpecials #TheFreelancer streaming from 1st Sept. #TheFreelancerOnHotstar (Sic)."

The Raina and Kher-starrer is based on a novel titled A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat. The Freelancer, which also has John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik in significant roles, is all set to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 1.
