Samantha Akkineni will be playing a Sri Lankan Tamil in the series that will release on June 4 on Amazon Prime Video.
Being a “minimum guy” at a desk job, going for couples therapy, experiencing FOMO and probably getting back to what’s Srikant’s best at – the trailer of the second season of The Family Man shows us glimpses of this and much more from what is happening in the life of Manoj Bajpayee’s character.
The trailer of the much-awaited spy-thriller show, created by Raj and DK, also revealed South actress Samantha Akkineni’s antagonist. The series will release on June 4 on Amazon Prime Video.
The trailer introduces the audience to the new phase in the life of ultimate spy Srikant, who is now stuck handling a desk job at an MNC and attending couple’s therapy with wife Suchitra (Priyamani). However, his former aide JK (Sharib Hashmi) is on full throttle with a case down South. Samantha, who plays a Sri Lankan Tamilian terrorist, looks gritty and tackles some heavy action sequences in the glimpses from the trailer.
In a statement, creators Raj and DK said, “We promised the season will be out by the end of this summer, and we are glad that we just about kept that promise. The wait will finally be over on June 4 as Srikant Tiwari will return with a thrilling storyline, and ‘danger really has a new face’ — Samantha Akkineni, who has done a tremendous job, along with the always-fantastic ensemble cast. We are confident we have carved out an exciting season for you all, despite having to work through the pandemic.”
The award-winning Amazon Original Series also stars Sharad Kelkar, Gul Panag, Seema Biswas and Darshan Kumar.
