The most horrifying horror film ever released shocked audiences all over the globe fifty years ago. Yes, we are referring to The Exorcist and David Gordon Green, who shocked audiences by reviving the Halloween series, is behind the sequel, The Exorcist: Believer, the latest release from Blumhouse. After its theatrical run, when it was released in October 2023, the film was available for rent on Prime Video, ZEE5, and BookMyShow Stream. Now, The Exorcist: Believer is set for its OTT premiere for all subscribers on JioCinema on February 6, 2024.

Plot overview of The Exorcist: Believer

Leslie Odom Jr.'s character Victor Fielding, who lost his pregnant wife in the Haitian earthquake twelve years ago, has been raising his daughter Angela by himself. Lidya Jewett plays the role of Fielding. But when Olivia O'Neill's character Angela and her companion Katherine vanish into the woods and then reappear three days later without having any memory of their disappearance, a series of unfortunate events take place. This drives Victor to face the lowest level of evil and, consumed by terror and despair, to seek out Chris MacNeil, the sole survivor of any such incident.

Ellen Burstyn, an Oscar® winner, reprises her iconic role as Chris MacNeil, an actor whose life was forever altered by the events that befell her daughter Regan fifty years ago, in a film that has remained unreleased since 1973. Jennifer Nettles (Grammy winner) and Norbert Leo Butz (two-time Tony winner) play the parents of Angela's friend Katherine, and the film also has Emmy winner Ann Dowd as Victor and Angela's neighbour.

David Gordon Green is the director of The Exorcist: Believer which he wrote with Peter Sattler and David Gordon Green from a story by Scott Teems, Danny McBride, and David Gordon Green and characters created by William Peter Blatty. Morgan Creek Entertainment's David Robinson and James G. Robinson and Blumhouse's Jason Blum produced the film.
