John Abraham said, “I want to make entertaining films and something in geopolitics because I am interested in that. My upcoming films like Tehran and The Diplomat are outstanding films. I want to package them in an interesting way and show it to the audience.”
The actor was last seen in Vedaa. The action-drama film is about a Dalit woman who fights back against caste discrimination and the repressive system in her village. The film stars Sharvari Wagh as Vedaa, John Abraham as Major Abhimanyu Kanwar, and Abhishek Banerjee as Jitendra Pratap Singh.
OTTplay review for Vedaa reads, "Vedaa is a good story, one that needs to be told. However, it misses the mark when it comes to balancing commercial elements with nuance, causing the overall product to suffer. Nevertheless, Sharvari wins hearts."
