According to People magazine, The Burial which will make its international premiere on September 11 at the Toronto International Film Festival, is based on the true story of Jeremiah Joseph O'Keefe's legal battle with the Loewen Group, a Canadian funeral home corporation.
The Burial OTT release details
On October 13, the legal drama is scheduled for the OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. The Burial, a 1999 story by Jonathan Harr in The New Yorker, served as its inspiration. Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones are the two main actors in the cast.
Announcing the release date of this film along with others, the official account of Amazon Prime Video took to its social media and wrote: "a power packed slate to give this festive season all the oomph it needs with jaw-dropping entertainment! 🥳🍿"

About The Burial
The Burial walks a fine edge between a character study and a courtroom drama. Throughout the entire film, Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones both portray characters who are incredibly strong and complex. Fast-talking personal injury attorney Gary, played by Foxx, is caught off guard when he gets embroiled in a contract lawsuit. On the other side, Jones is Jeremiah O'Keefe, a destitute owner of numerous funeral establishments and a provider of burial insurance.
