Bendre is making a comeback and OTT debut with the ZEE5 show while Taarak is currently gearing up for the film with Koratala Shiva.

Sonali Bendre, who is making a big comeback with the OTT show, The Broken News, Was rumoured to be a part of Jr NTR's next film with filmmaker Koratala Siva for quite some time now. But the actress has now denied the rumours, calling it "false news" or "news that hasn't reached her yet."

Jr NTR had revealed his upcoming movie with filmmaker Koratala Siva previously in May. The actor released the teaser for the film on his birthday. The yet-to-be-titled film, produced by Nandamuri Kalyanram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Hari Krishna K, is set to hit theatres shortly. And there were news doing the rounds that Sonali Bendre is involved in the project. The actress clarified the rumours in an interview with Koimoi, saying, "Who, me?" No, she is not aware of that, she had no idea what they were referring to. She wasn't aware of this, so this is false information, she remarked.

In her next drama, The Broken News, Sonali Bendre portrays journalist Amina Qureshi of a TV News channel Awaaz Bharati. Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Aakash Khurana, and Kiran Kumar also feature in the show. The drama revolves around two rival Mumbai-based news channels: Awaaz Bharati, an independent, ethical news channel, and Josh 24/7 News, run by Dipankar Sanyal (Jaideep), which is into sensationalism and invasive journalism. The show is adapted from the BBC show Press and is directed by Vinay Waikul. It also shows what goes behind in the newsroom and the lives of journalists.

The makers had released the trailer of the show recently and it has been grabbing several eyeballs. The trailer shows the conflict and competition between the two channels as they try to gain maximum TRPs.

The Zee5 series is all set to stream from 10 June 2022.
