Sonali Bendre, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Jaideep Ahlawat are gearing up for the release of The Broken News 2. The first installment was released in 2022. Two years down the line, the makers are ready with the second part, which will also premiere on ZEE5. Before the web show's release, the makers of The Broken News 2 have dropped a new promo, ft. Sonali and Shriya. It features Sonali stating that she is ready to fight for Shriya's character Radha.
ZEE5 shared the latest promo of The Broken News 2 on Instagram. The video showcases Sonali Bendre as Ameena Qureshi. She mentions that not every battle is fought to win it. Sometimes, it is fought for the nation to know that someone is fighting. "I will fight for Radha, chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye," says Sonali.
The promo ends with Jaideep Ahlawat as Dipankar Sanyal stating that Shriya Pilgaonkar aka Radha will die tonight. While sharing this promo on the gram, the makers wrote, "Fight for Radha till the end or go the other way, what will Amina choose? TheBrokenNewsS2 premieres 3rd May, only on ZEE5 (sic)."
Earlier, in an interview with Mid-Day, Shriya Pilgaonkar spoke about reprising the character of Radha in The Broken News 2. The actress said, "After being called a terrorist, my character, in season two, is going through an inner conflict. She has taken things personally. It took me a while to let go of control while playing Radha because she was making certain choices that I would never make. I had to stop myself from judging her."
Directed by Vinay Waikul, the web series also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. The Broken News 2 will premiere on ZEE5 on May 3, 2024. Will it be able to recreate the same magic as season one? Only time will well.
