In an interview with Hindu, Jaideep earlier spoke about his character, revealing that he switches to sensationalism. He said, "A village where people were socio-politically dumb and deaf—when he (Dipankar) became their voice through honest journalism, he didn’t get his due. So when he got the opportunity to play the game, he switched to sensationalism. We have seen such examples around us," he said.
Directed by Vinay Waikul, the cast of the show includes the lead characters reprising their roles: Sonali Bendre as Ameena Qureshi, Jaideep Ahalwat as Dipankar Sanyal, and Shriya Pilgaonkar as Radha Bhargava. The show will continue with the arch rivalry that was shown in the first series between two Indian news channels viz. Josh 24/7 and Awaaz Bharati. Apart from them, the show also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya in important parts. The show is currently streaming on ZEE5.
