Shriya Pilaonkar is currently gearing up for the release of The Broken News Season 2, also starring Sonali Bendre and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar is known for her acting prowess. The actress has made her name in the industry by delivering commendable performances in Guity Minds, Taaza Khabar, Crackdown, Mirzapur, and more. For the uninitiated, Shriya is the daughter of renowned actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar. Recently, the actress rubbished all the rumours about her being an adopted daughter to the star couple and said that this is something that one doesn't need to justify.
In a recent interview with India Today, when the actress was asked about the article where it has been mentioned that she is an adopted child, Shriya said, "There was news going around out of nowhere that my parents had adopted me and that’s absolutely untrue."
She added that this is not something that someone needs to justify to the public. She said she was not going to show her birth certificate to prove her point. Her words were, "I’m not going to flash my birth certificate on Instagram to prove my point." She also called this a shocking experience.
Well, the actress has clearly put a full stop to all the baseless speculations about her birth and adoption, underscoring the importance of sharing unverified speculations and rumours on the internet.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress is all set for the release of her upcoming show, The Broken News Season 2. Apart from Shriya, the show also stars Sonali Bendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead roles. Many actors including Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Faisal Rashid, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya are returning in this new season. The new season of the show, going by the trailer will see the fight of ideologies between two news channels, Josh 24x7 and Awaz Bharti. The new season, which promises more thrilling experiences is a battle of survival on a personal level. The show is set to premiere on May 3, 2024.
