The Boys have run for two seasons now and it has already garnered a large fan following. With its gritty and gory storytelling, the show has especially captured the attention of fans of the superhero genre. Karl Urban, who plays one of the leads of the show, has now opened up about what to expect from the third season.

In an interview with The Guardian, Urban was asked if he has seen a scene from season three, which apparently features a redacted body part. “I’ve only seen some rough stuff, so I haven’t seen its, um, full glory,” he said, adding, “But there are things about season three that, once you’ve seen them, you will never unsee them.”

While such scenes might keep viewers away from certain shows, fans of The Boys expect such gore in its episodes. The show is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series about a superhero team backed by a large corporation. The show throws light at superhero culture, with a perceptive of how these people with special powers would behave in real life.

The latest season will reportedly adapt “Herogasm”, which is a long episode from the comics about a graphic superhero orgy. When asked how this could be adapted for a TV show, Urban said that it is difficult to talk about it without giving away spoilers.

However, the actor revealed that Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, walked into filming one day while shooting Herogasm and asked the cameraman about how everything is going, to which the cameraman replied, “Dude, I’ve seen some shit.’”

The third season of The Boys will also feature Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. The highly-anticipated season will hit Amazon Prime Video on June 3.
