Amazon Prime Video is gearing up for a new eight-episode animated anthology series set in the universe of ‘The Boys.’ The latest news was unveiled by the show’s star Karl Urban, who plays the character called Billy Butcher. The upcoming web series, which is set to reveal the untold in the world of The Boys, will be out in 2022.

In the latest announcement, Urban mentioned the reason why the makers are coming up with such a project that revolves around the universe of The Boys. “There is no question that you guys are the greatest fans in the world. And as a special way of saying thank you to you, we’ve got a little surprise for you, which is gonna drop early next year. While we’ve been hard at work on season 3, Eric, Seth and Evan have asked a few of their celebrity mates to cook up eight deliciously unique, twisted animated episodes set in the world of the Boys. You might say they are diabolical. Can’t wait for you to see them, trust me, you’ll love them.

The promo video then revealed the name of the celebrity writers’ of the show that include some huge names of the Hollywood industry such as Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Simon Racioppa, Aisha Tyler, Andy Samberg, who have cooked up each of the stories individually, while a few of them have come up with the extraordinary tales in duos like Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth.

Meanwhile, the executive producer and showrunner of the superhero web series, Eric Kripke, mentioned in a recent statement that the makers are almost finished with eight episodes of our animated series, Diabolical. “We gathered together some incredible creators and we gave them one rule…just kidding, there’s no rules. They blew the doors off it,” he added.
