The episode is all about chaos and disappointment
Story:
The Bad Batch meet Phee, who takes them on a treasure hunt. That is where the unexpected happens.
Review:
The Bad Batch are back and they have treasure hunt on their mind. While still trying to figure out a way to survive, they meet Phee and stumble upon what could be a treasure. Thus begins their journey to nothingness.
Wrecker, Omega, Tech, Hunter and Echo are simply sidelined in this episode. The focus is on the charming Phee, curious Omego and clumsy Hunter.
Mel is introduced this time. She's a version of R2D2, who, as it turns out, is easily replacable. That does not hold true for R2D2 who held a special place in the Star Wars franchise.
Like always, the show tries to develop some mystery elements but fails at it. The music tries to amp up the scenes but barely helps the cause.
This time, Star Wars meets Jurrasic Park and like always, it ain't a pretty sight. This is on top of Indiana Jones vibe.
This episode has a lot of chaos in the midst of order. It is not the good chaos anyway.
With that, the gang departs on a new adventure. To repeat the same mistakes.
Verdict:
This episode does get a bit better but it is still nothing like Star Wars. Full marks for the effort but there's a long way for The Bad Batch to be called a franchise of Star Wars.
