The Archies — 'Sunshine in cinema,' Janhvi Kapoor praises sister Khushi Kapoor after film's grand premiere

The grand premiere of The Archies was held on December 5. Here's what Janhvi Kapoor had to say about her sister Khushi Kapoor after watching the movie.

The Archies will mark Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor's acting debuts. While Suhana is Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Khushi is the daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi. On the other hand, Agastya is the grandson of the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. Last night, a grand premiere of The Archies was held in Mumbai. After watching the film, Janhvi Kapoor shared an appreciation note for her sister Khushi.

Janhvi Kapoor praises Khushi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor shared a photo with her younger sister Khushi from The Archies premiere. It seems the actress liked her performance in the Netflix movie. She penned a note appreciating Khushi on her Instagram story. While sharing a picture with her, Janhvi wrote, "The sunshine of my life and now sunshine in cinema. You are magical (sic)."

While Khushi is making her acting debut with The Archies, Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak in 2018. They are the daughters of late actress Sridevi, who was a fine actor.

The Archies' grand premiere

The grand premiere of The Archies was held in Mumbai. It was a star-studded night with the who's who of Bollywood coming under one roof. From Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Neetu Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan to Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Kajol, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, these celebrities marked their presence at the mega event.

About the film

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, The Archies is based on The Archies comics. Besides Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi, the film stars Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda. It is all set to premiere on December 7, on Netflix. While Agastya plays Archie Andrews, Suhana will be seen as Veronica Lodge, and Khushi as Betty Cooper.

As for Vedang, he essays the role of Reggie Mantle, and Mihir will be seen as Jughead Jones. On the other hand, Dot will portray the character of Ethel Muggs and Yuvraj will be playing Dilton Doiley.
