Tharshan meets school students with Koogle Kuttappa

As Koogle Kuttappa gears up for release tomorrow, the team is involved in the film's last-minute promotions. A promo video of Tharshan visiting a school along with the humanoid robot used in the film, has been doing the rounds on the internet. In the video, Tharshan is seen telling the students that they could ask for anything from Kuttappa. And when a child asks for chocolate, the humanoid robot immediately hands over one, much to the delight of the students. Later, when the children, when they could see the robot, he invites all of them to watch the movie in theatres, along with their families.

Koogle Kuttappa is a science fiction comedy drama, which is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. The film is directed by debutants Sabari–Saravanan, who were assistants to director KS Ravikumar. It is said that the director duo had approached KS Ravikumar for an acting role in the film, but since they didn't have the budget to go ahead with the project, KS Ravikumar decided to bankroll the project.

Koogle Kuttappa revolves around the life of an old man who lives alone and the bond he shares with his humanoid robot presented to him by his son. The filmmakers altered the original to suit the taste of Tamil audiences.

The star cast for the film includes KS Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Poovaiayar, Suresh Chandra Menon and G Marimuthu. Parthiban is the narrator. Former Bigg Boss contestants Tharshan Thiyagarajah and Losliya Mariyanesan play leads. This is the first time that reality show contestants are teaming up for a film. Cinematography is by Arvi and editing is by Praveen Antony. Koogle Kuttappa received the 'U' certificate from Censor Board and the film is all set to release on May 6.
