Vikram K Kumar helms the breezy entertainer written by BVS Ravi and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish
Thank You, a coming-of-age tale is the second collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and director Vikram K Kumar after Manam. The film, written by BVS Ravi, features three female leads Raashi Khanna, Malavika Nair and Avika Gor besides Sai Sushanth Reddy and Prakash Raj. Dil Raju and Shirish are bankrolling the film under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The entertainer, which has music by S Thaman, is hitting theatres across the globe on July 22. The film's trailer was launched today.
In the trailer, we see Naga Chaitanya as a successful entrepreneur who’s looking back at his roots, a happy childhood in Narayanapuram. He remembers the various women in his life with fondness – the teenage romantic interest (played by Malavika Nair), the college sweetheart (Avika Gor) and we see a few glimpses of the experiences that have shaped him over the years. He also has a stint as a hockey player, goes abroad and develops a rapport with another woman (Raashi Khanna).
The character, caught at the crossroads in his life, feels it’s important to be grateful to everyone who had contributed to his success to date and also talks of giving your loved ones the space to leave when it's time. Like the title says, the core theme of the film is gratitude and revolves around the transformation of the male lead. As revealed in the teaser before, Naga Chaitanya plays a self-obsessed man who fails to look at the world beyond him and relooks at his life after a few transformative experiences.
Vikram Kumar’s maturity in exploring the complexities of interpersonal relationships shows in the trailer. PC Sreeram’s cinematography is the cherry on the cake and the emphatic background score by Thaman complements the film’s ambience. This is precisely comfort zone for Naga Chaitanya, who’s always excelled in urban-centric stories and romances. The film is in definite need of pre-release buzz and the impressive trailer should help its cause. Naga Chaitanya, Raashi earlier worked together for Venky Mama.
