Sai Pallavi’s the female lead in the Chandoo Mondeti directorial centred on fishermen
Naga Chaitanya, who commenced the year with the release of his first bilingual Custody, directed by Venkat Prabhu, also went onto make his OTT debut with Dhootha. The latter was a web show that marked his third collaboration with Vikram K Kumar after Manam and Thank You. Now, he’s moving onto the shoot of his ambitious pan Indian film Thandel, which will be formally launched tomorrow.
For the unversed, Thandel is an action drama centred on the fishermen community and is based on true incidents. This is Naga Chaitanya’s third film with director Chandoo Mondeti after Premam and Savyasachi. Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the female lead. Thandel will release across multiple languages and is produced by Geetha Arts. Meanwhile, the team has grand plans for Thandel’s launch event.

Victory @VenkyMama Garu, King @iamnagarjuna Garu will grace the ceremony and bless the team.”
The team recently hogged the limelight as they went to Srikakulam, meeting several fishermen and glancing several locations where the film would be shot. Devi Sri Prasad has come on board as the composer for Thandel while Uppena fame Shamdat has been roped in as the cinematographer. Srinagendra Tangala is the production designer. Allu Aravind is the presenter and Bunny Vasu is the producer.
After Thandel, Chandoo Mondeti will commence work on Karthikeya 3, the third instalment of the mystical thriller franchise headlined by Nikhil Siddhartha. Reports indicate Naga Chaitanya has also okayed a script by Majili filmmaker Shiva Nirvana. Besides Thandel, Geetha Arts is co-producing The Girlfriend, Rahul Ravindran’s film starring Rashmika Mandanna.
