Malayalam actor Austin Dan Thomas of Thallumaala and Vijay Superum Pournamiyum fame is making his directorial debut with actor Jayasurya as the lead. The movie, which is being bankrolled by Ashiq Usman Productions, will be the actor’s third collaboration with the banner after Happy Journey (2014) and Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum (2017).

Editor Nishad Yusuf begins his journey as a screenwriter
The yet-untitled film also marks the debut of editor Nishad Yusuf as a screenwriter, who recently won the Kerala State Award for his work in Thallumaala. Meanwhile, Jimish Khalid will be handling the camerawork for the film. More details regarding the cast and crew as well as the film’s theme are currently under wraps.

Jayasurya’s other projects
Jayasurya is currently working on his much-awaited supernatural fantasy film, Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, helmed by Home fame Rojin Thomas. This film is shot using a virtual production technology. The story is based on the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers. Along with Jayasurya, the film also stars Anushka Shetty, who will be making her Malayalam debut with this fantasy flick.
