Thalavan, the crime thriller film that stars Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead roles, is one of the most-loved Malayalam films of recent times. The movie directed by Jis Joy earned excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics after its theatrical release. After the successful run in theatres, Thalavan has now had its OTT release on Sony LIV. The Asif Ali-Biju Menon starrer had its streaming release on the streaming platform, before its announced release date.

Thalavan out on OTT before release date

As per the latest reports, Thalavan had its OTT release on Sony LIV today (September 9, 2024), a day before the announced release date. The new update came out as a big surprise for the Malayalam cinema audiences, who were eagerly waiting for Asif Ali and Biju Menon’s acclaimed film. The movie is streaming on the popular streaming platform in five languages, including the original Malayalam, and the four dubbed versions including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The Jis Joy directorial is also available for streaming on OTTplay Premium.

Thalavan: Plot, cast and crew

Asif Ali and Biju Menon’s cop thriller, which is scripted by Anand Thevarkkat and Sarath Perumbavoor, revolves around an investigation and the hierarchy in the local police team that causes some major changes in the dynamics and causes some disturbances in the proceedings. Biju Menon appears as Jayshankar, a Circle Inspector of Police who gets promoted to DYSP, while Asif Ali plays the role of Karthik Vasudevan, a Sub Inspector who soon got promoted to Circle Inspector.

Along with Asif Ali and Biju Menon, Thalavan features a massive star cast including Miya George, Anusree, Sujith Shankar, Dileesh Pothan, Ranjith, Kottayam Nazeer, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Jaffar Idukki, Tessa Joseph, Bilas Chandrahasan, Anand Bal, Renjith Shankar, and others in the supporting roles. Deepak Dev composed the songs and original score for the movie. Sharan Velayudhan is the director of photography. Sooraj ES has handled the editing. which is bankrolled by Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios.
