Thalapathy Vijay's fans have recently grown concerned about the status of his upcoming film, Leo. Even the slightest deviation from the original plan has the potential to unsettle them, as evidenced by the outpouring of worries on social media when rumors of a possible movie release delay started circulating.

It's unclear what triggered such a rumour, but it appears that a minor delay in completing the movie's censor formalities has been the source of anxiety among fans. Reports initially indicated that the film was expected to undergo censor certification on October 2, but for unknown reasons, this did not occur.

The industry sources have now confirmed that Leo's screening for the censor board will take place in a day or two, reassuring fans that everything is proceeding according to plan.

The buzz is the movie will secure the censor certification by Wednesday. Following this, the full-fledged promotions will kick in. Fans can also be expected to see the trailer soon.

Leo promotional plans

The audio release event of Leo was one of the most awaited events of the year. However, the producers called it off citing "security reasons." The producers claimed that there were over 1 lakh pass requests for the event. Given that no venue in Chennai could support a crowd of this size and taking a lesson from composer AR Rahman's Marakkuma Nenjam concert fiasco, the producers made a prudent decision to call off the audio launch.

Also, it's still unclear what the producers have in the store to compensate for the disappointment of fans who were eagerly awaiting to see Vijay's talk about the movie.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio. The movie also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas among others.

Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
