Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast trailer crosses 25 million views in less than a day of release

The trailer of the Nelson directorial, which was unveiled yesterday at 6 PM, had crossed 1 million views within five minutes of its release

To call Beast one of the most anticipated films of the year would not be an exaggeration. Ever since the film was announced, fans have been anxiously, impatiently waiting for all and any updates on Thalapathy Vijay’s latest project.

So when the makers finally unveiled the highly awaited trailer yesterday, it was no surprise that the internet collectively lost their cool.

Within minutes of its release, the thrilling trailer started to rake up the views at warp speed. Within 5 minutes, it had garnered almost a million views; in 15 hours it raked in 15 million. And now, in less than 20 hours, the trailer has crossed more than 25 million views on Youtube,and counting.

The upcoming film will mark Vijay’s first release of the year. Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the upcoming action thriller also features Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Redin Kingsley, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das also essay prominent roles in the film.

The film’s release date also has fans expecting one of the biggest clashes of the year at the box office, as Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is scheduled for release on April 14, right on the heels of Beast. But it seems that fans are the only ones worried, as both Yash and KGF director Prashant Neel have wished Beast well. Neel has also expressed his excitement to catch Beast on the big screen as well.

Beast will hit theatres on April 13. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The Hindi version of the film is titled Raw.
