Producer AM Rathnam recently confirmed this exciting development, unveiling plans to digitally enhance the movie to cater to a new generation of viewers. He also revealed the orginal plan was it to re-release the movie last year to coincide with Vijay's birthday. However, that didn't materialize due to other commitments. Rathnam expressed confidence that this year would witness the grand return of the digitized version of Ghilli to screens worldwide.
