The star's spokesperson has come up with an announcement on Twitter,
Vijay
Fans of Vijay, who are expecting several updates on Leo this month, are elated with an unexpected announcement that has now come from the star's spokesperson. He has announced that the actor is set to honour several students in Tamil Nadu at a grand event that will be held in Chennai on June 17.
This gesture from the Varisu star is winning the hearts of his fans and netizens are going gaga over the inspiring initiative. He will be honouring students who secured first, second and third place in Class 10 and Class 12 examinations from every constituency at the event.
The students who are eligible for the criteria will be attending the event along with their parents. They will be issued cash prizes along with other consolation prices. A huge crowd is expected to gather at the event and fans from across the state are likely to participate.
Many are wondering if this is a slow and steady move from the actor with regard to testing waters in politics. There are reports that Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI) will contest in several constituencies in the Assembly Elections that will happen in 2026.
The star has been keeping himself busy doing one film after the other. He is currently the only star in Tamil who has been consistent when it comes to releasing movies at regular intervals. His movie with Lokesh Kanagaraj was confirmed even before Varisu was released.
Now, the project with Venkat Prabhu, Thalapathy 68, was confirmed before Leo has hit screens. It looks like the star is keen on committing several projects before he takes an active plunge into politics.
