Thalapathy Vijay and Venkat Prabhu on the sets of The GOAT
Thalapathy Vijay seems to be taking no break from the ongoing shooting of his upcoming movie, The Greatest Of All Time. On Friday, he took off to Russia to shoot key portions of the film, which is being helmed by Venkat Prabhu.
A video of Vijay, using a face mask to avoid attention, walking into Chennai airport to board his flight has surfaced online and is going viral. Only recently, Vijay returned to Chennai after a week-long shoot in Kerala.
Vijay went to Thiruvananthapuram a couple of weeks ago and created quite a fan frenzy there. He visited Kerala after a gap of nine years, and fans went out of their way to show their undying love and admiration for Vijay.
Hundreds of fans thronged the Thiruvananthapuram airport on the day of his arrival, sparking a massive security risk. It took a massive effort from the airport security and personal bodyguards to create a safe passage for Vijay out of the airport amid the sea of fans. While Vijay exited the airport safely, his car sustained a lot of damage owing to the chaos created by fans.
Huge swaths of fans continued to throng his shooting locations during the entirety of Vijay's stay in Thiruvananthapuram. And Vijay also continued to meet fans, greet them, and express his gratitude for all the love and admiration.
Vijay has a huge fan following in Kerala. He is rather the only non-Malayali star who can give the biggest star of Malayalam cinema a run for the money at the Kerala box office.
