Thalapathy 69 update: Thalapathy Vijay’s film to have its official launch soon?

Thalapathy Vijay, the biggest crowd-puller of Tamil cinema is set to take a long break from films to focus on his political career. However, before that, the popular star is planning to wrap up the 69th film project of his career. The highly anticipated film, which has been tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, is reportedly directed by hitmaker H Vinoth. If the recent updates are to be believed, Vijay, director Vinoth and his team are planning to officially launch the project, in a few days.

Thalapathy 69 look test begins in Chennai

If the recent updates are to be believed, the look test of Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated 69th film is currently happening in Chennai city. According to the latest updates, director H Vinoth and the crew members of the film are planning to finish the leading man’s look test by the end of the day, after which they are expected to kickstart the shooting of the untitled film’s first look immediately.

Thalapathy 69 official announcement soon?

Now, it is safe to assume that Thalapathy Vijay and director H Vinoth are planning to officially announce their first collaboration, in a few days. According to the grapevine, the actor-director duo is keen to officially launch the highly anticipated film in August 2024, mostly during the 67th Independence Day celebrations of India. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed yet. If the test shoot and first look shoot are finished soon, the makers might officially announce the Thalapathy 69 announcement date, in a couple of days.

Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar is reportedly approached to play a pivotal role in the untitled film. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is reportedly in talks to play the female lead opposite Thalapathy Vijay in the film. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the songs and the original score. Sathyan Sooryan is expected to join the project as the director of photography. The untitled Vijay starrer is bankrolled by KVN Productions.
