Thalapathy 69 cast update: Gautham Menon to work with Vijay after Leo

The cast of Thalapathy 69 is expanding as filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon joins the star-studded lineup alongside Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and others.

The cast of Thalapathy 69 is getting bigger! In the last few days, the makers of the film have been dropping the cast announcements of the film one by one. After announcing that Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Mamitha Baiju, the latest to join the cast is filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Gautham Menon joins Thalapathy 69

Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who was recently seen in Vijay Antony-starrer Hitler, has joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming Tamil film Thalapathy 69. The film is directed by H Vinoth in his maiden collaboration with Vijay.

The cast announcements of Thalapathy 69 have been unveiled one by one. It is to be noted that it marks the second collaboration after the duo earlier worked in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo.

Apart from Vijay and Gautham Vasudev Menon, others part of Thalapathy 69 include Pooja Hegde Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju. Actors Prakash Raj and Priyamani are also expected to be part of the film.

H Vinoth had revealed that Thalapathy 69 will not be a political film but one that will be watched by all age groups. “This film will not attack any political party, nor will be political. It is a light film which will be fully commercial,” he had said. KVN Productions is bankrolling Thalapathy 69. The film is eyeing for October 2025 release. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film in his first collaboration with H Vinoth.

Thalapathy 69 marks Vijay’s final film before he retires from acting to concentrate on full-time politics. Scores of fans have high expectations from his upcoming film.

Meanwhile. Vijay was last seen in The GOAT- Greatest of All Time. The film is now available for streaming on Netflix. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Vijay plays dual roles in the film.
