Moviegoers have been excited ever since it has been announced that Rashmika Mandanna will partner with Vijay in his next, tentatively titled Thalapathy 66. Rashmika has now opened up about Thalapathy 66 and shared her excitement.

The Pushpa: The Rise actor took to Instagram to share her excitement for the project. Sharing a photo of her with Vijay from the launch ceremony, she wrote, “Ok now this feels like something else..Been watching sir for years and years and now to do everything that I’ve been wanting to do.. act with him, dance with him, take his nazar, talk to him.. everything .. yaaaaay finally! An absolute delight.. (sic)”

The makers had released multiple photos from the pooja ceremony of Thalapathy 66 which was attended by Vijay, Rashmika, director Vamshi Paidpally, producer Dil Raju, and actor Sarathkumar.

The movie is directed by Vamshi and will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. This will also be Vamshi’s second bilingual movie after Thozha (Oopiri In Telugu). The movie is backed by National Award-winning producer, Dil Raju.

S. Thaman, who is hot off the table after the release of Bheemla Nayak and Radhe Shyam is the music composer for the project. Thaman also took to social media yesterday to share his excitement. Karthick Palani and Praveen KL are the cinematographer and editor respectively.

Rashmika was last seen in Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu and Pushpa: The Rise. The latter, starring Allu Arjun in the lead, was a commercial success across the country. The actor is also working on the Hindi spy thriller, Mission Majnu and will also reprise her role in the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise.
