The Superstar is said to be joining hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj for his next outing. The latter was supposed to begin Kaithi 2 next, but it looks like there is a change in plans and the Leo filmmaker will be collaborating with Rajini first before taking up other assignments.
Thalaivar 171 to begin on THIS date
Rajinikanth has wrapped up shooting for his daughter's Lal Salaam in which he has played an extended cameo. The release date of the project is yet to be announced. His movie with Lokesh, tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, is said to be going on floors from February 2024.
The film will mark the Superstar's fifth collaboration with Sun Pictures after Enthiran, Petta, Annaatthe and Jailer. Fans hope that the Rajini-Lokesh-Sun Pictures combination could generate bigger buzz than Leo which is currently the most-awaited Tamil film.
