Ritika Singh, who is busy shooting for the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer Thalaivar 170, recently met with an accident while performing an action sequence in the film.

Rajinikanth is joining hands with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel for his 170th film outing. The project, which has been tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, started rolling a few weeks ago. The team is currently busy with the second schedule shooting of the Rajinikanth starrer in Chennai. The project is now making headlines after actress Ritika Singh, who plays a key role in the film, met with an accident on the sets.

Ritika Singh suffers injury while shooting for Thalaivar 170

Recently, the young actress took to her official social media handles to reveal that she met with an accident while filming an action sequence. The actress also shared a video of herself in the post, in which she is spotted with bruises. It has been confirmed that Ritika Singh’s injuries are not serious.

“Looks like I got into a fight with a werewolf! I am quite upset. They kept telling me, be careful, there’s glass there. They warned me. But, it’s okay, it happens. You can’t control momentum sometimes, right? I think I lost control and then this happened,” Ritika Singh said in a video posted on her Instagram story.

“I’m not feeling any pain right now but I’m sure this is going to hurt because some of this is quite deep. I’m going from the set to the hospital to get a shot. I hope this gets better soon and I can shoot,” she further added.

Ritika Singh’s role in Thalaivar 170

As per the reports, Rithika Singh plays a supporting role in Thalaivar 170, which is touted to be a complete entertainer with a powerful message. The project marks her first on-screen collaboration with both superstar Rajinikanth and director Gnanavel. It is also confirmed that the young actress, who is also a trained mixed martial artist, will perform some high-voltage action sequences in the film.
