The team of Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam had recently announced that the movie will hit the screens on August 18. They have now revealed an update on its first single. Anirudh who is composing music for the film has come up with a video in which he has said that the much-awaited single track will be released on June 24.

The video begins with him sitting inside his studio watching a scene from the blockbuster film Nattamai in which Ponnambalam is seen calling Manorama "thaai kelavi", and he repeatedly watches it after finding it amusing.

Suddenly, dance choreographer Sathish Krishnan enters the room and requests him to reveal the title of the first single as he's set to start preparations for the song. Anirudh keeps playing the scene, indirectly hinting at the title "Thaai Kelavi".

As Sathish expresses surprise on the title chosen for the first single, Ponnambalam enters the room with the same appearance he sported in Nattamai and leaves in a jiffy. Sathish wonders if he has penned lyrics for the song. But Anirudh reveals that it is Dhanush himself who has written lyrics for the song.

Fans of both Dhanush and Anirudh are super excited as the film marks the comeback of the duo's celebrated "DnA" combination. They are teaming up after a seven-year hiatus. Balaji Mohan's 2015 film Maari was the last film which witnessed the magic of their combination.

Nithya Menon, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar play female lead roles in the movie directed by Mithran Jawahar. Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja play key characters in the movie which was wrapped up in less than 50 days of time last year. Thiruchitrambalam will be Dhanush's theatrical release after four direct OTT releases, including The Gray Man which will release in July.
