Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon arrived with their impossible love story, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, on February 9, 2024. The film marked the directorial debuts of Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. The love story of a human and a robot may sound fascinating but it seems the film hasn't benefitted much because of it. TBMAUJ's first day box office collection is definitely what one expected. The film has got a lukewarm response at the ticket window.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya failed to get a bumper opening at the box office. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, TBMAUJ managed to earn only Rs 6.50 crore at the ticket window.
Considering the advance bookings, the film was expected to earn only Rs 6 crore. It only witnessed a slight growth in its collection later. Having said that, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya can gain momentum if positive word-of-mouth spreads about the film. The film has the potential to perform until two other Bollywood movies Article 370 and Crakk hit the silver screen on February 23.

Earlier, in an interview with Film Companion, Shahid had defended the long title of his movie, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha JIiya. The actor cited an example of Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and said when DDLJ was released, titles like Ghayal, Gatak, and Jeet were the vibe. Before DDLJ was released, Shahid said everyone discussed the length of its title but he believes when one makes a love story, it is okay to have longer titles.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid Kapoor will next be seen in Deva. The actor will play the role of a cop in Rosshan Andrrews' film. He will share screen space with actress Pooja Hedge in the film. For this project, Shahid opted for a buzz cut, the way he did for Haider.
