The actor rose to fame in India with his Bigg Boss OTT 2 stint. As for his participation on Temptation Island India he is on the list of singles.

Ahead of the show's digital premiere, OTTplay caught up with Hadid for an exclusive interview. In conversation with us, Jad revealed why he signed up for the show.

Excerpts from the chat...

Jad Hadid on Temptation Island India

Revealing the reason he decided to take up Temptation Island India as his second reality show, Jad said, "To be honest, after Bigg Boss OTT 2 I got a little busy. I had to travel around for my work and my daughter because I had promised her. I got two offers—one of them was Temptation Island, India, and another one was in Spain. I had to choose between both of them. But one of them was really paying a lot more than the other, which was the one in Spain. I looked at the whole situation. I was in Bigg Boss OTT 2, so I didn't want people to think that I just came for this show and I left."

He continued to add, "Although I live in Dubai, I promised that I would be here in India to stay. We are hopefully going to find an apartment soon. We are looking for something that is close to everything and in the center. For Temptation Island India I felt let's go back home. I love India and the people here. I appreciate the love I have received from the audience and the friends I have made. The other countries have not offered me 1% of what India has offered me. That is something for which I am forever grateful. That's why I said yes—not because it is a reality show. It crossed my mind when I was watching one of the episodes of Temptation Island (US) before I was offered this. I watched the show and wondered with myself, 'How will I be on a show like this?' I watched Temptation Island and kept telling myself, 'Bigg Boss was okay; it was a different kind of show. But a show like this is a bit risky. A lot of things are involved—emotions, feelings'. I am in this show now, and I am expecting a lot to happen."

'People judged me wrong'

Recalling how he was judged for his actions on Bigg Boss OTT 2 he quipped, "I cannot forget that I've had incidents on Bigg Boss OTT 2 and people judged me wrong, and I don’t want this to happen again. I will make sure to keep a respected image of being a father first, of being someone who is in the public eye, and you know how people judge. I really don't want that. I consider this place my home, and I am never going to do something I might regret later. I am at the stage in my life where I can't make mistakes anymore."
