Telugu star Vishnu Manchu meets with an accident while shooting an action sequence of Kannappa

Telugu act Vishnu Manchu met with an unfortunate accident in New Zealand while shooting for Kannappa, his dream project. Shooting has been stalled for now, as the actor suffered considerable injuries.

Telegu star Vishnu Manchu, who has been praised for films like Ginna, Dynamite, and Anushasan, had recently ventured forth on the biggest project of his life. His dream film, Kannappa, is going to be acted by him and produced by his family on a pan-India level, boasting of a star-studded cast like Prabhas, Nayanthara, Shiva Rajkumar, and Mohanlal, among others.

The film, with a budget of nearly INR 100 crores, is set on the actual story of one of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotees, Kannappa. The project began filming at the end of September in New Zealand, but recently hit a bump in the road. On October 29, Vishnu Manchu got badly injured while shooting an action sequence for the film.

How did the accident take place?

No one is to be blamed for the accident but ill luck and lack of precaution. While shooting an intense physical sequence, the drone operator lost control of the drone camera while shooting, due to signal discrepancy. The highly dynamic, winged camera hit Manchu’s hand, its blades causing severe injuries. The actor was rushed to a hospital and shooting was stopped temporarily.

An inner source has revealed, “He sustained many injuries in the arm because of the drone blades and was rushed to the hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and is under the observation of doctors. The incident had put a hard stop on the shoot of the film. We are hoping for his speedy recovery. After his discharge from the hospital, he will be taking sometime off from his schedule to rest and fully recover.”
