Telugu Indian Idol: The Ugadi special episode has colours, dance, music, a Nandamuri connection and even an elimination

The 11th epsiode in the reality show on aha will have the host, judges and contestants ushering in the joy of Ugadi

This weekend on aha's Telugu Indian Idol promises to be extra special for a reason! Celebrating the spirit of Ugadi, a special episode of Telugu Indian Idol will stream on aha. For the uninitiated, Telugu Indian Idol is the first edition of the popular singing reality show Indian Idol in the Telugu version and it is exclusively for the subscribers of the Telugu OTT platform aha. The show is hosted by Sreerama Chandra and has Nithya Menen, Karthik, S Thaman as its judges.

The judges have already selected the top 12 contestants in the show and the previous weeks have given them ample opportunities to showcase their prowess. Now, it's time for an elimination this week - the first one in the show. aha released a special three minute promo of the Ugadi episode where the judges, contestants and host are having a blast, singing, dancing and erupting out of joy while dressed in their traditional attire.

The promo starts with everyone in the show singing an Ugadi special number. The other numbers sung by contestants during the episode are largely from films featuring the Nandamuri clan, including Jai Balayya, Enno Rathrulosthayi Gaani, Raavayya Muddula Mama, Virisinadi Vasantha Gaanamu, Olammi Tikka Reginda, to name a few. By the end of the promo, Karthik and S Thaman even groove to Naatu Naatu, the mass number from the recently released Jr NTR, Ram Charan starrer RRR and it makes for a great sight watching the duo having immense fun!

Who will have to face the exit door this time in Telugu Indian Idol? We can't wait to know. The episode full of colours, terrific music, great dances and thrills can be watched on aha on April 1.
