Cheema Prema Madhyalo Bhaama, starring newcomers Amith Lokesh and Indhu Cherukuri in the lead, was a 2020 release directed by Srikanth 'Sri' Appalraju. The film revolving around an ant had opened to a decent response at the theatres and reminded many of SS Rajamouli's Eega, where a fly was a protagonist. The makers of the film didn't mind the reference and took that as a badge of honour then. The film was bankrolled by SN Lakshminarayana under Magnum Opus Films.

During the COVID-19 lockdown and beyond, the movie has been quietly making its presence felt across the globe in several prestigious film festivals held in America, Canada, England, Estonia, France, Japan, Serbia and Turkey. Despite being a film made on a modest scale, the theme has garned attention from several bigwigs in the industry and has bagged awards in several categories including Best Feature Film, Best Romantic Feature Film, Best International Feature Film, Best low budget Film, Best Debut, Best Director, Gold Director Feature Film, Best First-Time Director.

The team is extremely delighted with the recognition that the film has earned worldwide in addition to a handful of Indian film festivals. Several congratulatory messages directed towards the makers of Cheema Prema Madhyalo Bhaama have applauded the craft of the first-time director behind it, Srikanth 'Sri' Appalraju. The producer feels that not for once did the director helm the film like a debutant and also applauded the efforts of his lead cast Amith and Indhu.

"We thank the audience all over for their patronage and the team for their valuable contribution," the director and producer share their happiness. Ravi Varma Potedar has composed the music for the film while Arif Lalani took care of the cinematography. Hari Shankar handled the edits. The director behind the film is gearing up for his next, details of which will be announced shortly.
