The Telugu film industry is booming big time as big films are being made one after the other. A number of big-budget films are on the floors as of now and are being made on a lavish scale. First in line is Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram. The action drama is being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and the latest update is that the shooting of this film is happening in the outskirts of Hyderabad. A few solo scenes of Mahesh Babu are being canned by the makers as of now.

Next in line is Devara featuring Jr NTR. The action drama is being directed by Koratala Siva and is being shot in Hyderabad. A lavish ship set has been erected in a special studio and NTR is canning a major seas-based action sequence as of now. Until now, the makers have canned only action blocks as the film is high on VFX. Once these action blocks are done, the songs and talkie parts will be shot.

Ram Pothineni has joined hands with Puri Jagan who made the super hit film Imsart Shankar. The duo are now making Double Ismart and the shooting is happening in Mumbai. Ram's intro shots are being canned as of now. Apart from this film, Ravi Teja's prestigious film Tiger Nageswara Rao is also being shot in a specially erected set in Hyderabad. This film is Ravi Teja's biggest film of his career budget-wise.

Apart from the above said films, a number of medium-budget films are on the floors as of now. This week's release, Baby has hit the jackpot as it is making solid money at the box office. With no other Telugu film being released, Baby is seeing solid occupancy as the youth of Telugu states have strongly connected to this film.
