Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham reveals about the development of season three

The Apple TV+ show tells the story of an American football coach who is given the job of coaching an English Premier League team

Ted Lasso is gearing up for a comeback soon enough. The popular Apple TV+ show’s star Hannah Waddingham recently revealed when the makers are planning to start filming the third season of the series.

In her recent appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the actress revealed that the show is intended to go into production on Valentine’s day next year, that is February 14, 2022.

In the same breath, Waddingham also aired some of the struggles she encountered that included last minute changes in the script. She relayed that improvisation was not her strong suit, although it came naturally to her co-stars Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, and Brendan Hunt. The latter three came from comedic backgrounds.

Ted Lasso revolves around the story of Ted Lasso, an American football coach who is called in to train a struggling English Premier League team named AFC Richmond. He is called in for the job by the league’s new owner Rebecca Welton, in an attempt to spite her ex-husband.

While Sudeikis stars as the titular character, Waddingham essays the role of the league’s owner. The Emmy Award winning show also features Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Juno Temple, among others.

The critically acclaimed series was developed by Sudeikis and Hunt along with Bill Lawrence and Joe Kelly.

The first two seasons of Ted Lasso can be streamed on Apple TV+.
