The film directed by Mysskin is expected to hit the screens on August 31,
Andrea in Pisasu 2
Mysskin's Pisasu 2 is one of the most-anticipated Tamil films this year. The movie which was wrapped up a year ago is expected to release in theatres on August 31. Andrea Jeremiah plays the female lead in the project which is billed as a horror flick.
Though the film was planned as an unapologetic intense thriller with adult content, Mysskin revealed recently that he decided to change the plan as he was keen on the movie impressing all sections of audience, including children. The makers have thus removed almost 15-minute footage featuring explicit content.
On the occasion of Independence Day today, Andrea has revealed a new poster of the movie which has her sitting on a rock in a composed mode lost in her own world. However, she is seen holding a long barrel gun. The contrasting nature of the poster is its highlight, and has Mysskin factor written all over it.
The movie is the filmmaker's first release in the pandemic era. The hit film Psycho, starring Udhayanidhi, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari, which was released a couple of months before the first lockdown in 2020, was his last outing.
Mysskin had earlier confirmed that Pisasu 2 is not the sequel to his 2014 release movie Pisasu which had set a benchmark for horror flicks in Tamil. Vijay Sethupathi plays an important role in Pisasu 2 which has music composed by Karthik Raja.
Poorna and Santosh Prathap are other actors who will be seen essaying key characters in the project which has cinematography by Siva Santhakumar and editing handled jointly by Keerthana and Susil Umapathy. The film's first look was unveiled last year and the teaser was released a few months ago.
