Bairagee stars Shiva Rajkumar, Dhananjaya, Pruthvi Ambaar, Anjali, and Yasha Shivakumar. The will release in theatres on July 1
Hattrick Hero Shiva Rajkumar hasn't had a theatrical release for over eight months and his fans are waiting with bated breath for Bairagee. The film, along with the veteran actor's usual charm, also features a promising ensemble cast that includes Daali Dhananjaya, Pruthvi Ambaar, Anjali, and Yasha Shivakumar. With the film hitting the big screen on July 1, the promotions are currently in full swing and the core team has been touring various cities in Karnataka to spread the word.
In the same vein, Shiva Rajkumar, Dhananjaya, Pruthvi Ambaar, and others took some time off the promotions while in Mysuru and visited the sets of Upadhyaksha, the upcoming film starring popular comedy actor Chikkanna. The cast of Bairagee was seen interacting with Chikkanna, P. Ravishankar, and director Anil Kumar and the pictures of this visit are now circulating on social media.
Upadhyaksha comes as a spiritual sequel to the 2014 film Adhyaksha which was directed by Nanda Kishore, starring Sharan in the lead role. Chikkanna played a key part in the film as the protagonist's best friend Narayana and Upadhyaksha will be his first major outing as a bonafide hero. Anil Kumar, who has previously made films like Raambo 2, Kaaneyadavara Bagge Prakatane, etc. helms the upcoming film with Umapathy Srinivas Gowda (of Roberrt and Madhagaja fame) producing it.
Bairagee, on the other hand, marks the Kannada directorial debut of popular cinematographer Vijay Milton. Milton has previously shot films like Attahasa and Pogaru in Kannada and has directed Tamil films like Goli Soda and 10 Endrathukulla, and has cowritten Bairagee with Guru Kashyap. Bairagee has been produced by Krishna Sarthak and features the music of J. Anoop Seelin.
A major highlight of the film is likely to be the reunion of the Tagaru duo of Shiva Rajkumar and Daali Dhananjaya who will face off for the second time. And to make things better, the makers of Bairagee have also roped in Vasishta N. Simha, who played Chitte in Tagaru, to lend his unique vocals for an emotional track in the film.
