In a recent exclusive interview with OTTplay, Sharib Hashmi discussed his character in the movie, critics vs audience, and much more.
When we asked Sharib whether it's a conscious decision to take up slightly light hearted roles and not so serious ones after the likes of Family Man and Asur, the actor said, “Nahi aisa koi conscious decision to nahi hai. Main sirf kahaani sunkar hi itna mutasir ho gaya tha ki mujhe uska hissa hona tha. Maine kabhi koi strategy nahi banayi ki mujhe ye role karna hai ya vo, bina planning ke mujhe jo roles mile hai uska mai shukra guzar hoon.”
Later the actor talked about starting late in the industry as an actor saying, “Meri zindagi me agar koi ek malal hai to vo ye hai ki maine bahot late decide kiya. Lekin jaise maine ek film me suna tha ki jab jab jo jo hona hai tab tab so so hota hai, toh aap apne hisaab se kuch plan kariye aur upar wale ne aapke liye koi aur plan banaya hota hai. I want to be happy in the moment I am right now and usko main poori tarah se jeena chahta hoon.”
Lastly, the Asur actor also spilled some beans on audience reaction vs critical acclaim, He smiled and said, “Mujhe pyaar chahiye, chaahe audience ka ya critics ka. Toh dono mil jaaye toh bahot achha hai.”
Meanwhile, Sharib essays the role of Tarla Dalal’s husband Nalin Dalal in the film, Tarla. The film is set currently streaming on ZEE5.
