Kay Kay Menon's latest web series Murshid has garnered a positive response upon its release. Directed by Shravan Tiwari, the gangster drama premiered on ZEE5 on August 30, 2024. Kay Kay features alongside Tanuj Virwani and Zakir Hussain in the web show. In this series, Menon essays the character of a mafia don Murshid Pathan. The latest promo of Murshid features Tanuj introducing Kay Kay's character.

ZEE5 shared the new promo of Murshid on its official Instagram handle. The promo begins with Tanuj Virwani introducing Kay Kay Menon as Murshid Pathan. "Baap, badmash aur badshah bhi. Teen kirdaar, ek aadmi! Yeh hain Murshid Pathan," says Tanuj. If you haven't seen the promo, check it out right below:

Sharing this promo on IG, the streamer wrote, "Kirdaar koi bhi ho, Murshid Pathan bakhubi nibhaate hai saare! Dekhiye unki kahani (sic)." Apart from the primary star cast, Murshid features Vedika Bhandari, Anang Desai, and others in key roles. You can watch this series with your OTTplay Premium subscription as well.

That said, Tanuj recently spoke about playing the role of a police officer in Murshid. He is seen as Inspector Kumar Pratap Rana in the show. As for Zakir Hussain, he plays a mafia don Farid in the series.

Speaking with Times Now, Tanuj said his character in Murshid is different from the roles he did in the past. "For starters, I’ve never played a police inspector before. The background he comes from, the emotional baggage he carries—it’s all very different from character to character. I’ve mostly played very urban, South Mumbai-centric characters. This character was different in many ways. That’s why it’s so important to surrender to your director"
