Aberaam Varma, Swetaa Varma, Tanikella Bharani, Aditi Myakal and Kalpika Ganesh play the lead roles in the film that's gaining popularity by the day after its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video, featuring in the top 10 section consistently on the streaming platform. The film's lead actor Tanikella Bharani shared his experience of being a part of Eakam recently and why it's an attempt that merits your time.
"Some good things take time to happen. I got to watch Eakam today, a Telugu film directed by Varun Vamsi. When the director came to me for a narration, he explained my role in the film and I took an instant liking to it. It dealt with 'Harihara Advaitham'. This is an anthology of five stories, revolving around five basic elements - water, earth, air, fire and sky. The film starts off on a regular note but it provides answers to many questions posed by the next generation. Many of the young lot are certain to identify with it," he said.
What stands out in the debutant's effort? Tanikella Bharani shares, "The film deals with the frustration, anger and sadness of the younger generation and just doesn't discuss their problems, but intelligently offers solutions too. Eakam is an experience, a great experiment and a new wave film. Filmmakers are coming up with newer stories every day, we've been citing several examples of good Malayalam films recently. There's no dearth of talent in Telugu cinema too and Varun Vamsi is a great example. He has extracted restrained performances from everyone and ensures a lot of relatability.
"Eakam is an intelligent film that's still narrated in away that common man can comprehend. From well-written dialogues to terrific cinematography and impressive storytelling, the film is a blend of impactful contributions from the entire cast, crew and technicians. It's one of the better films I've watched in the recent times and I'm sure it'll be liked by one and all," he signed off.
