The Indian on-demand streaming platform Ullu dropped a dark and intense trailer of Tandoor, which features Tanuj Virvani and Rashmi Desai in leading roles. The upcoming murder-mystery web series is said to be inspired by a real-life incident, in which a woman was killed by her husband, who was a politician in Delhi.
Earlier this month, a romantic song from the show was released, where the leading couple can be seen sharing cosy moments. Sung by Arsh Mohammed, the soothing track starts off with a wedding scene.
Tanuj shared the trailer on his Instagram handle and captioned, “Tandoor Trailer. Ek khaufnaak qatl ki dastaan. Tandoor. Here you go guys. It’s finally here. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Show drops on the 23rd of July!” Its leading lady Rashmi also shared the trailer through her social media handles.

Talking about the show, Rashmi said in a statement that she wanted to be part of Tandoor as soon as she read its script. The actress further revealed that her character, Palak is based in the ‘80s and she is outspoken, fearless, and amazingly intelligent. “I’m quite sure that the audience will admire the change and versatility of an actor that I’m trying to portray here,” she added.
Meanwhile, speaking about his dark character, Tanuj said in a statement that it is extremely layered and offered him to really explore a different facet of his acting personality. “I had to portray him at several different junctures of his life: before, during, and after the events of that fateful night. Anger, rage, jealousy, love, ownership and rivalry are some of the emotions that I tried to channel,” the Inside Edge actor added.
Tandoor will release on Ullu on July 23.
