The film has already been issued a ban in Kuwait,
Vijay in Beast
It looks like Beast is going to hit the headlines till the day of its release for various reasons. We had reported earlier that the Government of Kuwait has issued a ban on the movie citing excessive violence and hatred on a religion. Now, a political outfit in Tamil Nadu has demanded a ban on the movie.
Tamil Nadu Muslim League party has expressed concerns on the portrayal of Islam religion in the action thriller, and has asked the government to look into the issue. The Nelson directorial is releasing across the world on April 13.
Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports doing the rounds that the film might face issues in Malaysia as well, though an official news is awaited on it. However, fans of Vijay are hopeful that such misunderstandings will be sorted out soon and that the movie will be released without any hassles.
Some of the fans recollected a similar issue which happened during the release of the star's Thuppakki a decade ago. They hope that if the content is engaging and free of controversies, the current publicity will only elevate the hype for the movie, leading to a huge success at the box office.
The theatre booking for Beast has commenced in several places; fans of Vijay are planning to organize a record number of shows in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The booking has started in some of the GCC countries as well while the film is releasing in around 500 locations in the US.
The movie is expected to take a gargantuan opening at Tamil Nadu box office; it has to be seen if it will surpass the day one gross earned by Ajith-starrer Valimai in February.
