Tamil actress Shruthi Shanmuga expressed her grief over unfounded rumours and false claims about her husband Arvind Shekar's death, adding to her suffering.
Popular Tamil TV actress Shruthi Shanmuga is mourning the death of her husband Arvind Shekar . Struggling through a period of immense grief, Shruthi on Friday took to social media on Friday to address the rampant misinformation surrounding her husband's untimely demise.
In the video, she expressed her shock over some YouTube channels and a section of media, that were spreading sensationalized and unverified reports adding to the family's suffering.

"Many YouTube channels don't know what's happening and spreading unwanted information. Yes, he (Arvind Shekar) died of cardiac arrest. But, some are claiming that he was a bodybuilder and he died while working out at the gym. He was a civil engineer and a fitness enthusiast. Please don't spread any rumours," Shruthi in her video message.
She also wrote a lengthy caption further requesting people to exercise empathy and restraint. "We’re trying to overcome an extremely difficult situation and giving strength to elders. Your news videos for likes and views that is going to fetch you money will definitely devastate us by the unwanted fake info that you’re posting. So watch out before u post any irrelevant content in ur channels. It’s giving us more pain and agony in this situation. Thank you for understanding. Arvind is always next to us," she wrote on her Instagram page, while also thanking all her well-wishers and friends who have expressed solidarity in her trying times.
Arvind Shekar was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai on Wednesday. And he was diagnosed with cardiac arrest. However, he could not be saved despite the medical intervention. Arvind Shekar was in his early 30s and his untimely death sent a shock wave across the state.
